Hannah and Dylan’s engagement session moved from the character-filled streets of Downtown Charleston to Pitt Street Bridge in Mount Pleasant. With multiple looks, changing scenery, and plenty of room to simply be together, Jules created cinematic, nostalgic photographs shaped by their natural connection rather than a predetermined list of poses.
Downtown Charleston gave Hannah and Dylan’s engagement session a playful, polished beginning, with the city setting complementing their personal style and different looks. Rather than directing every interaction, Jules paid attention to their body language and the way they naturally moved together, allowing the photographs to feel considered while still reflecting their actual relationship.
Two locations and one story that still feels like them
Moving between Downtown Charleston and Pitt Street Bridge gave the session two distinct settings without making the gallery feel disconnected. Hannah’s yellow dress and white look added another layer of visual variety, while their connection carried the story from one location to the next. Jules adapted her direction to them, creating editorial portraits alongside the more spontaneous interactions that happened naturally.
Downtown Charleston offers engagement photography a mix of historic streets, colorful architecture, and distinctly Southern character. Jules photographs couples throughout Downtown Charleston and the surrounding Lowcountry with an editorial eye, using the setting, personal style, and natural movement to create images with atmosphere while keeping the relationship at the center of the story.

Pitt Street Bridge brought a different rhythm to the second half of Hannah and Dylan’s session. Moving from Downtown Charleston to the Lowcountry setting allowed the photographs to shift visually while their natural connection kept the gallery cohesive. Jules let each location influence the imagery differently, rather than trying to recreate the same photographs against a new backdrop.

Photography has always been part of my story
From a young age, I was inspired by my grandfather, whose love of photography and travel shaped the way I learned to see the world. His home was filled with cameras and photographs from faraway places, each holding a story of its own. That early sense of curiosity still influences the way I photograph today—looking closely, noticing what might otherwise pass by, and preserving images that become more meaningful with time.
Now based in Charleston, I photograph weddings and meaningful seasons throughout the Lowcountry, including Downtown Charleston, Mount Pleasant, Daniel Island, Johns Island, Kiawah Island, and the surrounding coast. I also travel beyond Charleston for celebrations and stories that take me elsewhere, bringing that same curiosity and attention to every place and person I photograph.
